Codex, where is it?

I've played like 30+ runs, beaten Hades 5+ times, where is my Codex? I've gone to Achilles over and over and nothing. I press C and nothing. Is this a bug?

All i know is achilles gives it to you and you hold C to open.

When I press C I get a red X over my head.

I know for sure that you can't open the codex in the very first area (I got red "x" there when I try to open it) and sometimes you can't open it when you're close to an NPC. Try checking if the key for opening codex is allocated correctly in the settings and if it's not allocated to something else as well.

I've also given Achilles a gift multiple times. I don't recall the number and can't check the codex obviously. I've tried it in different areas too. I'm pretty sure I don't have it, but it feels long overdue.

"Though the Codex is obtainable at any time after Zagreus' third escape attempt, Achilles may not hand it over right away - multiple conversations may be required to trigger the correct event. The Codex cannot be opened prior to obtaining it." Yeah seems weird to me I got it pretty quickly.

i second that: you need to hold the button for about half a second, maybe a little more.
