Why does this game have ridiculous RNG?
It's like "Hey, i got better lap" but sack says "One more room sir" .
This is completely luck and has nothing to think, consider or choose.

It's all about choosing and luck, yes. Welcome to the rougelike world.

The sack is (mostly) RNG, but outside of that you have several of ways of influencing your RNG to your favor, and being an action game, your skill determines more about your run than your drops do. It is hardly ridiculous.

There is no "ridiculous RNG" in this game. If you feel like RNG is dictating how well you're doing, then that simply means you're not playing the game well. RNG is here for one sole purpose: to diversify your attempts and spice things up.

Your victory hinges on a single thing alone: How well you can play the game and handle what it throws at you. RNG only makes said victory easier or harder to achieve. Also, this is general advice for games like these: understanding how randomness works in the game, what it influences, predicting what can happen in the future and figuring out how to manipulate, all of that is a skill that you can learn that will make you much better at whatever you're playing. A good example of this is Poker, a game MUCH more random than Hades, yet still possible to become good at despite that. So, how is that possible that in a game like Poker you still have clear distinctions between really good and really bad players? One of the big aspects of it is embracing the randomness and doing everything you can to understand it's impact in any given position you're in and play the odds to your favor.

The game actually has a really generous rng system when compared to game like the binding of isaac, I used to consult the boon list a lot to learn what boons can work well with another, or what makes a duo boon. This game basically hands you the path you'll walk in a run.

when you die and rerun again and again, you will can scope up what you really need in that run

> You can pick your starting weapon
> You can pick your own variant for that weapon
> You can pick your starting trinket
> With that trinket you can force your starting god boon
> You can change your trinket between rooms
> You can choose which room to go next based on that room's rewards
> Rather than get a boon you get a choice of 3 to pick
> You can re-roll room rewards
> You can choose what to upgrade with Poms
> You can chose to enter a chaos gate or an Erebus gate

"Too much RNG!!!"

I love how Daba got a jester for having an extremely sensible post. Might as well give everyone here one because the only one who thinks the RNG is "ridiculous" is the OP. Hades is more generous than any roguelite I've ever played when it comes to determining the outcome of your runs. As a poker player myself, the analogy was spot on.

If you're having a bad time in this game, it's not the RNG, it's you. There's no way to say that without sounding elitist, but it's the truth. I guarantee Binding of Isaac, Enter the Gungeon, Immortal Redneck or literally any other roguelite (except maybe Cult of the Lamb) would present the same difficulties for you, if not a hell of a lot worse.
