Hades feels more polished and tight, its definitely more fast paced, enemies are not as annoying as the ones in Bastion, weapon variety is decent and even if some of the weapons arent amazing there are hammer upgrades that change the way the weapons work ( some upgrades ), making them strong. Its weird to type it out like that but yea.
Take a look at some Hades runs ( assuming you dont mind the spoilers ) or watch a guide about weapons and keepsakes to see what the game has to offer.
Bastion has some replayability built in but Hades has a lot more since it was made with the intention of being a roguelite.
If you do have any specific questions about Hades feel free to ask.
Hades is a huge step in the right direction, both in terms of gameplay and in terms of story.
I like Hades. It reminds me of my favorite part in Bastion - the non-story combat areas where you fight wave after wave of enemies. The faster paced combat is much more fun. There's certainly more game here. I should have bought it sooner.
I don't generally like roguelikes much, but I loved Hades. I didn't like Bastion much, I ended refunding it and getting Transistor instead.
