how do the talents of the mirror work?

I can change between the purple text talents and green text talents (I dont know the proper names)
But, if I put darkness into a purple text talent, and then switch to green talents and put some darkness there as well, will both talents be active, or only the one that's currently selected in the mirror?
For example, can I have the 3 death defiances per life AND the stubborn defiance (1 death defiance per chamber) active at the same time, allowing me to die a lot more times?

You only get the effects of the talent that is currently on the screen.

Only one talent will be active, so for eg: if you have Death defiance active, you cannot use Stubborn defiance and vice versa
