Seriously, I can tolerate some projectile spam stuff, but that miniboss in the stupid fire area can go screw itself. Probably the sing worst fight design in this entire game.

Yup, always good to have Athena dash or primary by the time you get there or get better at dash positioning. It bites when running sword and fist when they can end up out of reach over lava.

Wait 'till you meet the armoured ash bombers. A few of those make the witches circle look like a game of hopscotch.

Coronacht's special (the bow's Q) clears a whole screen of projectiles by itself, Athena deflection boons make this fight a breeze. There are a few other things I'm not thinking of that can mitigate the danger of this fight.

I agree though if you don't have the tools to deal with them, it's a huge pain, especially for sword or non-magnetic fist wielders.

My most hated fight is when Theseus calls in Demeter to bless him, FML.

I agree with everyone here, since you can destroy their projectiles pretty reliably and you have cover in the arena you can use, they aren't bad at all.

Pick Athenas dash, stay mobile and take them out one by one as quickly as you can.

Athenas dash is something i usually try to get early on in every run i do, that's why i usually pick the Owl Pendant for my first or second Keepsake.

I've tried every dash in the game but Athenas is simply unbeatable in overall usefulness and is very helpful against enemies with lots of projectiles or bosses in general.

With spear runs I actually prefer Athena on Primary and then using Artemis on dash. You get pretty much the same protection, if not better as you can project a much larger deflection area, plus the spin attack deflects as well. Actually had my best spear run with one of my best Hades fights with Achilles, Athena primary, and Ares secondary, when I got offered the Fast Spin and Pulsing Spin hammers. It developed the smoothest flow I'd ever seen playing spear, which is arguably my worst run weapon.

Yeah maybe I just need to force an Athena boon when I try sword. I remember that run I even turned the cast into the Aphrodite one, so you can see how my options were kinda limited.
It's good to see people suggesting stuff though, it's really cool to know people are passionate about a great game!

Even if you don't have a deflection boon you can still avoid most of the projectiles while putting forth an offensive effort through a combination of using line of sight and cover, timing your actions around when the projectiles are fired (and stop), and using dash iframes to move through the projectiles so you're in a position to attack just as a projectile sequence ends. It requires a bit of practice, but once you get it down it's possible to get through the fight with minimal damage even if you're using a close-range weapon like sword or fists and don't have any deflection boons.

get good scrub. plenty of ways to either deflect or negate the bullets coming at you and also to drag enemies near you (Aspect of Talos gauntlets) so you can wear them down without risking fire damage.

I feel this fight is very dependant on your weapons and boons. Either it is easy mode or you have to work hard on your timings and position.

Some weapons are really bad against them without athena or decent cast. Just gotta do some preplaning (at worst try to reroll the room if you feel like your build is bad for them).
