As far as Thesius goes, him and Asterius have a lot of dialouge regarding their relationship and several other NPCs also have dialouge regarding him, some of which mentions his status as a former king, iirc (it's hard to remember all the details), just play enough and mostly all questions will be answered in due time. He is also not a king anymore since he's well...dead.
There's no plans of adding any more gameplay features to the game, as far as I know, the game is fully complete with just small patches and bugfixes down the line, so the chance of more gods being added are basically 0.
Still i guess i can live with that.
After all we are just a bunch of nerds who creep around the forums so the devs spot us. still it would be interesting to have some dialogue regarding their existence at least.
Since as far as i am aware, Zeus never spoke about her wife/sister neither has Poseidon about hestia...
Oh well what can we do right?
Thanks for the comment <3
There is dialogue about Hestia and Hera, at least (examples below), as well as about other gods that don't even have weapons like Helios and Hephaestus. You have to call a game complete at some point though, every god you add is more art, writing, voice acting, etc., and I'm pretty sure Supergiant hasn't done DLC for their games in the past, so I doubt there will be anything here either.
Demeter: "My sisters Hestia and Hera surely would assist as well, young sprout. Except they and our foster-brothers haven't been getting along of late. Though as for me? I'll never leave this mountaintop of mine."
Demeter: "Why, isn't that there Sister Hestia's oddly constructed armament you bear? She always was so predisposed to flame; I thought she'd never give it up! If it's to be in any hands, then may as well be yours."
Artemis: "Say, that's the bow Stepmother Hera herself once wielded, isn't it? Her aspect of Coronacht! I'd know it from the... frankly rather sinister skulls all over it. It's very Hera, trust me."
Zeus (medium ending/epilogue spoiler): "Zagreus, you have a clever mother in Persephone! A very clever mother. And a lordly father! They make quite the team, that's evident! True rivals for Hera and me!"
As for the other things, as mentioned the hidden aspects are meant to be references to other mythologies/religions. The idea is that the Infernal Arms are passed down from user to user, irrespective of mythological bubbles, and change form based on their wielders. Due to timey wimey fate stuff, they also know who has/will wield them in the past/future, which is how those aspects came to be; the Aspect of Guan Yu is how Varatha will look when wielded by Guan Yu in the (assumably) future.
Theseus was King of Athens, but he is also dead, so I would assume someone else is king now, no? Moreover, he has made a new "life" for himself in Elysium, unrelated to Athens, in which he is the strongest shade in Elysium and fights anyone coming for his title. Why call him by his old title if his new one is both current and relevant?
