Can I turn aim assist off?

I was trying to shoot Hades with my bow the other day and I kept hitting the pots of green hand-goo. Then again today I was lining up a shot at the back of a shield guy in Elysium but then i let go and hit the shield of another shade, dealing no damage, infuriating.

There's an option in the controls menu to disable aim assist.

I went into settings in the pause menu and couldn't find it, I'll have another look.
