Fated Authority needs a rework
Fated Persuasion is superior in every single way. You already can influence what boons you get through Keepsakes, and then Persuasion can ensure you get the correct synergies you need for duos, etc. Plus you can even reroll items in the Well of Charon. Super helpful in combination with the Bone Hourglass.

Meanwhile Authority is limited to specific reward pools (either Blue or Gold Wreaths). Blue Wreaths means Keys, Gemstones, Darkness, or Nectar. Gold Wreaths mean God Boons, Hammers, Money, Centaur Hearts, or Poms.
Blue Wreath rewards are nice for farming specific currencies, but once you get to late game you don't need any of that anymore and only care about beating High Heat runs. They should remove Authority being limited to specific pools and have it be able roll any reward type to make it on par with Persuasion's benefits.

Funny, because I feel the opposite and basically never use Fated Persuasion.

Only 4 rerolls for the entire run (barring keys), and you can end up being offered some of the same boons you just rerolled anyway. No thanks.

I have no trouble using Fated Authority to force the builds I want. I use only one god keepsake in Tartarus (pom blossom for most of the rest), and use rerolls pretty much exclusively on gold-laurel doors. There are a lot of rules dictating what can appear on doors, and rules mean control, allowing me to influence what I want to reroll.

It won't reroll into something it already is or something present on another door (this is HUGELY influential if you've kept a few dice for Styx). If it's a miniboss room with a god boon it will always reroll into another god boon. It favors hammers if you don't have them yet.

All of this knowledge combined allows me to use these rerolls with great effectiveness. I might not always get the exact boons I want, but I can get A LOT of them, reducing the boon pool of my chosen god(s) until they have no choice but to offer me their legendaries or duos.

Was going to really respond but I would have just wrote all of this, almost exactly. The only time I have ever seriously used Persuasion was to get Chaos' legendary, since you can't use authority to find him. Otherwise, Authority has always been way better.

+1 for F.Authority.

Ive been rerolling room rewards for a long time and 75% of the time I just ended up wasting multiple rerolls to get the same reward again. Its definitely nice because reward reroll always costs one but I just cant pick it back up again, Id rather reroll three options instead of one altho I had situations where I rolled boons and got the same stuff but I guess thats less likely to happen than room rewards.

I like rerolling boons / items but if the other one works for some players then that's great.

I suppose for me the advantage of re-rolling the boons list was that I found the Hermes boons were what really made the difference for me. You always get only 2 or 3 of those, so the re-rolls give you the ability to finesse those a lot more.
