With chaos boon you can increase your damages even more.
They don't die as easily as in (for example) Path of Exile, you can't just press two buttons and kill a horde of enemies that's approaching you. Hades generally has less enemies at a time, but they do usually require more than one hit to go down, though this shouldn't be an issue if you upgrade your attacks properly.
So its like either having luck and getting super powerful boons or being unable to dish out damage?
Especially those shield guys tank me way too long. I can't hit backstabs consistently on them, since they dont flinch
Before the first mini-boss, the game will throw at least one boon to increase your damage for an Attack or Special. Some better than others, e.g. Zeus or Dionysus on a high damage, slow weapon like Bow Attack or Rail Special may not yield as much damage. But the game tends to offer a few dozen ways per run to be effective, some just more than others if you see the pieces come together.
The Shield guys, I often have to wait for them to make an attack and miss before I can attack. There is a window of a couple seconds or more where they do not act. If they're not attacking, they tend to turn around faster.
And then, I'd say if your hands or fingers start are fatigued, discomforted, or in pain during a play session, to pause, take a break, re-assess if there is a way that you can change playing to avoid the pain, or if you even want to continue playing a game that can hurt you in this way. (Tap intensive, clicker hero-type, wrestling games, rhythm, and fighting games are out for me due to frequently of button press. Where Hades offers the rail, fists, spear spin attack, Excalibur, shield, and cast builds that aren't as intense on my hands and fingers - granted I probably won't be on any speedrun lists.)
Yeah I know right. All those other games I’ve played where you are prince of the underworld trying to escape to the surface the damage feels wayyyyy higher. They totally nerfed this game. 😂😂😂
And yes... i know how tempting it always is to choose aphrodite & artemis because you like them, so if you see hammer go hammer

Your Welcome
That's literally true. The game is about 30 minutes long and is designed around you replaying those same 30 minutes a couple dozen times.
