Question about nectar, god affinity, and its relationship to boons

I've picked up all the keepsakes and most of the companions that I care about. I'm sitting on something like 35 nectar, and I was wondering: what are the mechanical effects of giving more nectar to deities after you've already procured their keepsakes.

If for instance I give Zeus nectar before taking a boon, does it in anyway effect the selection of boons that I am offered? i.e. temporary bonus? relationship between affinity/rarity?

My assumption is no -- that there are only illustrative/narrative consequences -- but I honestly don't know.

Does anyone know with more certainty?
Have the Devs said anything about future plans?

Nectar has no bearing on anything once you obtain the keepsakes. If you aren't interested in the relationships between the characters, the only further purpose nectar has (beyond exchanging materials at the broker) is gifting to the specific few characters that give chthonic companions that can be summoned.

As far as I can tell the only repeat use for gifting Nectar is Bouldy. Which will give you a small random boon each time you do it after doing enough of the Sisyphus storyline.

That said, they have been adding new interactions at high relationship levels every update and you raise such things by giving nectars. So since you have a bunch just start spamming them out. Eventually they will add something and you'll be ready for it.
