So dont think of it like diablo...but if you play diablo on PC, the controls and such should feel VERY at home to you!
Differences: Literally everything else
Not at all my friend. No more than Bethesda Studio Fallout games are Call of Duty clones.
This is more arcade-style action-based rogue-like game with a lot of story and character packed into 20 to 60 minute play sessions for either death or clear. Some permanent upgrades that can be alternated, weapons, and passives that can alter how your character starts and may build on that run. In that, if you play with the same starting build, you may end up with 10 different builds by the end of your run (whether a run clear or not).
Since this message board receives a few questions similar to yours, but often presented more aggressively or combative, the responses you may receive are carrying over from those threads.
Such topics as:
* this is a Diablo/Titan's Quest clone and here's why Hades is bad
* this can't be game of the year when X is better
* these ratings can't be this good, because Y is better or that means bestest game of the century
* Athena-related shock, followed by comment to instigate
Because everyone asks genuine dumb questions when they are not informed. Woudn't you want to be treated with respect if you inquired about something you're not familiar about? That's just common decency.
