I think it's kinda rubbish only one cerberus head get's pet

didnt he say the main head bites the others if they try to get pets? and the middle one has been defeated by the others? im with op, i want equal pets for all doge heads.

on a somewhat serious note, i kind of cant help myself, every time im there after a run i pet him 3-5 times, i know it does nothing, i know its technically a waste of time, but i jut have to pet him.

He also references it sometimes when you press the pet button. Maybe doesn't come up regularly: any time I've pet the dog the dialogue has been (or at least seemed to be) unique.

Maybe not every time and usually only once, but yeah I gotta pet bestest boy. And yeah, the other two heads don't really care about pets that much, and sometimes when petting Zagreus will mention that if he tries to pet the other heads he tends to get bitten. It makes a certain amount of sense that the dominant head would be the most sensitive, but it's also possible that Alpha just monopolizes the pets and the others just interpet it as them not caring. And hey, that's part of the benefits of being Alpha Head.

Also, no ones discussing it, but I figured I'd mention that I think that Cerberus's right head (player's left), is Beta head and the middle one is Gamma. I say this because the middle one always seems to be lowered.

yeah, was about to say that it's because of technical limitations (and even without those, the time it'd take to make all those animations)
it sucks that we can't pet cerberus in more ways, but calling the devs lazy because they're not willing to implement a Minor Feature is incredibly ignorant and entitled.

Thought it was common knowledge that any doge has a certain spot it likes pet. Multi headed doge are no different.
