Second gate when entering Temple of Styx possible area for DLC?

I noticed the closed chained gate when entering the final biome with the depiction of Cerberus on both sides of the entrerance. Could this be a possible entrance for future content or is this to indicate that Cerberus enters the final biome through this gate?

Talking about the first area when entering Temple of Styx with all the vases.

SGG haven't said anything regarding future content beyond they're taking a break from all production post-launch. It is unlikely that we'll see DLC, but that assumption is based on previous behaviour rather than any official statement.

Also, I adore the idea that it's just the doggy door, so thank you for that xDD
