Hades
Bull of Minos charge is artificial difficulty
This attack is absolute ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and completely unavoidable unless you find dash enhancing blessings. It's such a dumb attack it actually demotivates me to continue every time I get hit by it.

It does not matter what you do; with specific builds it just WILL hit you. If you're unfortunate and the attack is being used frequently it can downright end runs right there. It's also considered a heavy attack and deals around 27 damage, further amplifying the frustration.

You cannot outrun him even with double dash. You cannot angle yourself away from him when he's already too close (which will happen very quickly). It's just the player speeding away for a few seconds until the inevitable 27 damage sucker punch comes out anyway. That, or finding blessings that specifically counter this one move.

Utterly false, you simply haven't learned how to beat it yet (beside the final boss, the bull was the biggest hurdle in beating the game for me). Since I assume you haven't figured it out, all you have to do is have him hit a wall. The pillars work too, but I find them less consistent. When he clearly telegraphs his charge, go to a wall, and dash away when he gets close, job done.

Use the pillars to evade the attack and dont run away in a straight line.

I know it can be canceled during the charge, but once the initial distance is closed (which is also not very uncommon seeing the enormous amount of visual clutter going on at all times) you can do nothing but get hit. It takes up to several seconds for him to fully catch up, but none of those seconds matter as it's going to hit anyway.

Try adjusting your build to mitigate your weaknesses.

Run to a wall and face it. When he's right on top of you you need to dash towards him. If you time it right you can use your i-frames to go right through him. But yeah, by the time you face him you should have some type of dash enhancement. Honestly, for me at least, it wasn't Asterius keeping me in Elysium it was Theseus. His spear throw catches me when I get too caught up in fighting Asterius way more often than Asterius' charge. You can also get Asterius to crash into Theseus. Neither of them take any real damage from it which is too bad but you get a line of dialog out of Theseus for it.

Yeah, the walls are by far the best way to stop him. For the longest time I would try to use the pillars by dashing through and he would either run around them very quickly, or I would dash through them but still get hit by the attack even though he ran into the pillar.

step 1: Stand near a wall or pillar
step 2: Dodge through bull man
step 3: Stop whining

Now now, I know the pain, as someone who died 10 times to this stupid animal, before doing their first successful run. (in my 18 runs)

Try to move away from him when he starts the attack and head for the nearest wall of the arena.
Then just stand still and wait for him to almost touch you, around a centimeter, or lower, away on your screen.
Then dash through him. (you have iframes like in every game nowadays)
He actually has to almost get inside you for the attack to connect, the hitbox and timing is really deceiving, just don't give up.

Generally be patient in that bossfight and stay calm, don't just dash around chaotically, use the dashes to get close and make distance when they start to use their melee attacks.
Aphrodite's and Athena's call (F) will help you too, if you can get them.

Try Achilles's Spear btw, maybe you'll like the playstyle. It's really sweet with the range augment.

Mind I ask how many runs you've done so far? There are people who need more than 40 to finish this game, so don't feel bad.

Just dodge through him man. You say there's nothing you can do once he's already closed the distance but there is, just dash through him with double dash and bam you've got some breathing room since he can't just do an instant 180 turn. Then you get to a wall and dodge through him again.

nope. Minotaur is actually one of the easier bosses imo. Extremely predictable.
If you get the double dash in mirror of night the charge isn't particularly problematic (though it can go on for ages).

when moving straight forward and dashing as much as possible you will always outrun him

one of the things i love about this game is that things that initially are absolute PAINS IN THE ASS eventually start revealing some paterns — making the challenge a lot easier. that's the case with the bull too and he's not a big deal once you start to understand that, as many said here, the walls are your best friends. even with a single dash, making he go headfirst into the pillars and walls is fairly easy and if you have any backstabbing bonus damage it's a great way to attack him while he's vulnerable too. i'd advise you to not give in to the hate and let the game sink in and you'll see that even dying is actually a great way to improve your techinique the next time around

Those that have difficulty git gud.

Those that can't git gud use the shield and just block everything.

Also, "artificial difficulty" is a nonsense term used exclusively by terrible players.

artificial difficulty exists, just not in this instance lol. it's more a matter of people not understanding what that is and using it in instances where they are simply missing something crucial to the gameplay.

op literally the easiest way to avoid the charge is to bait asterius into a wall. don't bother with pillars, using a wall is more reliable. people are gonna dunk on your post but i mean this very sincerely, just use the arena walls.
