Workshop + mods?
Does anyone know if this has modification capability? I really want to play it but I cannot play with WASD, I need mouse click to move

Are there plans for modding support in the future?
@league of terraria

Currently, Hades “technically” supports mods in that players have full access to game files, and you can modify them however you wish. We don’t currently have any plans to create modding tools specifically for Hades or our other games.

We don't have plans for official support of modding. But many aspects of the game are easily moddable because the data is all exposed. You can change all the text and all the numbers and add types of content to the game. We can't officially support these efforts -- we are a small team and have to finish the game -- though we're certainly not opposed to them as long as modders do so at their own risk (i.e. please don't be upset with us if your mods result in the game not working correctly).

Mods were what made Torchlight so popular. Would be pretty nice but this game has such a distinct art style not everyone can replicate, so any mods would be like....rearranging stuff already in game, nothing really that exciting anyways.

I just don't get this asking for mouse movement... Hades core combat is just not compatible with that. It works in games like diablo cause you move long distances a lot and clear enemy groups with a single button press. There is a lot of down time and you don't need to quickly move and attack at the same time. Not to mention that clicking on an enemy has a natural game response: attack from range with x or run close and attack in melee.

Hades by nature is a lot more spammy and requires quick micromovement through dashes, which makes mouse an awful way to control it. This is because mouse movement is a form of absolute control, wasd is a form of relative control. The former is for slower or macro movement. The latter is better for rapidly changing position or micro movement.

So I doubt that anyone would even bother to try modding this even when they have access to the files.

There are a lot of games on PC these days that play much better with a controller. You might want to consider the investment for a decent one. An Xbox controller with kontrolfreaks on it is a decent mid-range option, though the higher end 'pro' controllers are worth the extra money imo. Also modern controllers have very decent haptics in them and most games will utilize them, including this one.

League of Legends can be classed as quite intensive with micromanagement as well, and it still is click to move
I'm not asking for it because I prefer it I'm asking because I need it...I have no working fingers and I have to use my head is the mouse

well said- why would people argue abt having PC game mouse friendly its beyond, if they use controilers then be it, the devs would get a bigger player base with the mouse feature = more money for them= DLCs in the future for us...

Oh I'm very sorry to hear that.

The brutally honest truth of the matter though is... Then this game isn't really playable for you.

League of legends is actually built in a way that makes it compatible with a mouse though... You have the mentioned logical "click on enemy" action feedback and you actually do require a macro control over the battlefield. You want to be able to send your character across the field to a location.

Some games just don't work with mouse movement.

As for the guy below you:
I want you to try playing dark souls with movement bound to the mouse and tell me how that is an enjoyable experience.
The benefits of the pc/kb+m is easier precise aiming with the mouse and more available action shortcuts on the keyboard. It doesn't mean that every game should or could bind everything to the mouse and if it doesn't it's not mouse friendly. That's a ridiculous notion. Unless you want to claim that literally every first person rpg out there (which are basically all pc games btw) are not pc/mouse friendly.

If you think wasd movement isn't pc friendly I don't know what to tell you. Except for: wake up from your fever dream?

It could be a way.

There is an option for having the dashes going in the direction of the mouse. It would be hard to control but you have enough dashes to make it playable.
Basically, dashes take 1s to reload, and there is a boon to get more of them consecutively...

Maybe an hack to give you even more dashes at the beginning of the run trough game files is possible. If you could have basically infinite dashes this would work like a charm for you IMO.

Also there is a "god mod" you are not immortal but really stronger.

EDIT: Having watched game files, there is definitively a way to do that

Hello,
I don't think so, there are just people who have been playing League for years and as we could see with League's odyssey game mode, which looks a lot like a rogue like, we could control Jinx who could dash endlessly. while attacking which was rather simple and the mode was frankly good. Anyway, maybe one day we can q-click on Hades.
sry for this google translate english.

I already addressed LoL in a later post.
It's not just about fast paced gameplay. Do I really need to point out that a game built for mouse control controls well with mouse movement?
