Launch game in vulkan?
Is there a way to make the game auto boot in vulkan mode?

Sorry if I'm late, just bought the game, the fix is really simple:
1) go into the game directory, in my case "C:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Hades"
2) rename "x64" folder to anything else, for example "x64_BACKUP"
3) rename "x64VK" folder to "x64"
You're done! Enjoy the game launching automatically in Vulkan :steamhappy:
does Steam overlay and achievements still work with this?

Absolutely yes, renaming the folders this way just tricks Steam into launching Vulkan as default instead of DirectX, every feature still works the same way as intended.

nope doesnt work. i mean your trick works as in the game will now start vulkan by default, but steam overlay doesnt work. neither does rivatuner for some reason.

with that being said, steam overlay also never worked for me when i start vulkan through steam the 'legit' way. vulkan seems to be buggy in this game.
Steam overlay doesn't work in DirectX either for me :\

It is annoying that there is no options. If you play to the game on Linux, through Steam Play, you have to select Vulkan in order to get something that works (with the same level of performances than the game on Windows, by the way)..So you cannot use your desktop shortcut on Linux and have to launch the game every time from Steam launcher.

You can pull up the Vulkan exe and turn that into a desktop shortcut (I'm not certain where the exe would be on Linux, sorry). Though note that no matter what OS, launching from a desktop shortcut does not get the benefits of launching through Steam (such as cloud saves or achievements).

Hey guys, I managed to get it to work. add this as launch options (brackets included). If needed modify the directory pointing to your game install location. After that create a new shortcut to desktop via steam. Now the game launches in Vulkan with all the benefits from steam. Broadcast, achievements etc.

"C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Hades\x64Vk\Hades.exe" %command%
