For the most part, they're just a large chunk of damage, which seems to miss its intended target most of the time anyway. You might as well collect them all, but don't expect much from them.

The one from Sisyphus is kind of nice, since even if it misses, it still explodes into darkness, money, and healing items.
Generally they do do damage or provide utility. Sisyphus' does a bit of damage and drops useful stuff like health and gold. Dusa's can be useful for clearing troves fast I think. I'm using Than's, it takes a while for it to trigger but does huge amounts of damage if it hits.

At first rank they can be used once a run. They can be leveled up with Ambrosia and at max rank can be used five times during a run (but only once per encounter)

Sisyphus is cool, I enjoy Thanatos and Dusa, too.
The only one that feels kind of worthless is skelly - he's situational with crowded arenas, while Thanatos is boss devastator. Best used on final boss with his lazorz of deathly goodness. It wrecks him hard.

idk what you guys are talking about, meg's insane '- 2500 free damage , you can skip pretty much the first/second/third phase of any boss (except her and her sisters obviously) by using her, since her attack is instantanious (different from thanatos) you can hit theseus and the bull for 40% of their health, most of my runs take 12 ~ 14 min, some a bit less or a bit more, I don't see myself going this fast without using them :p

Well, like I said, situational and in crowded areas and sometimes gate reward is not worth it.

Yeah, I don't know what the people up there are talking about, both Meg and Than do insane damage in a large AOE. 2500 is "barely any damage"? That is more than most greater calls can do. Than's windup is too long for me, but Meg activates in like half a second at most, still does fantastic damage, and proper positioning and timing can cause it to reliably hit multiple targets (stripping the entire armor pool off of 3+ hydra heads instantly, for example).

It gets even more insane if you save up your greater call and use it and your summon at the same time. That's going to be somewhere around 5000 or 6000 damage depending on whether you have Meg or Than and which call you are using.

Than's might take a while before it goes off, but the area of effect is incredibly large. Unless you are not standing in the AOE youself, you cannot miss with it.

I personally always run Than and try to get a high damage call like Aphrodite. That's 6000 damage and takes down close to 1/4 of Hades' health bar. It's a literal no brain tactic to win.

Since when you can use Meg/Than i last boss fight? As far as I am concerned, I am always unable to do so.

Eventually, the final boss allows it.

Happened for me after my 25th clear.

Meg's is quite a bad representation of them as it's one of the easiest to miss completely with.

Collecting them is worth it solely for the dialogue advancement though imo

If you start the Theseus fight with Than's companion, you take half their health in one shot.

Does it also happen to you that Skelly's Companion lures bithe enemies' attacks AND your own shots ?

Skelly is underrated, although I've only used him a few times (in the first 5 runs I forgot to use him because he was my first companion after going the first 50 hours without one). Besides erebus gates he's also good against bosses, you get like 15 seconds to stand behind the boss and backstab all you like which should do a couple thousand dmg.

Than is too clunky. Meg is used by every streamer. I use Bouldy, I think he's the best for preserving a win streak.
