That running gag absolutely KILLED my partner, because he actually knows a thing or two about Greek myth and understood EXACTLY why we were making this specific joke.

For the uninitiated, Zagreus' actual role in the mythology is not well-established. Hades' son is one version, but the Orphic version (based on Orpheus' poems) says Zagreus was an aspect of Dionysus, torn apart by the titans and reborn.

Naturally the devs must have come across these alternate versions in their own research, and sneaking it into the game in this way is just *chef's kiss*
