What am I missing with chaos shield aspect?
Heard some really good things about this aspect but after using it at Lv.5 it feels like a less reliable Chiron?

You're pretty much invincible once you get used to the rhythm, though it makes run somewhat boring (IMO) though.

You're missing the fact that you should be using Beowulf instead.

I just use the hammer effect that makes the shield charge turn into a projectile. Easy to turtle my way to victory.

It used to be a lot better. The extra shield shots went more in a shotgun frontal pattern then the everywhere setup they now have, so it was more reliable to get hits in with it. Because of it's now-increased unreliability you can find yourself unable to use your shield to attack/block at a crucial moment.

Nowadays, I consider Zeus (depending on boons), and Beowulf to be stronger.

Ya, know, I don't care for that upgrade. One of the big factors I like about the shield is the ability to essentially dash while attacking (and blocking shots/hits from the front). I really don't like giving that up.

RIP Chaos.

It's terrible/unusable as of 1.0. However, once was a fun and great aspect.

The new design changes completely render everything about the aspects functionality useless to a point that makes one contemplate if the people who changed it have ever played the game (and yes I know it's a small studio).

It's seriously that bad (if not worse)...

Some people like the Zeus aspect (personally it's 1 rank above the 1.0 chaos to me), so might be worth a try.

Beowulf is meh (clunky/bad at best to me). Just don't understand why I would click cast 3 times to not actually have the ability used, but only load cast projectiles into the shield? Then hold left click to charge attack, aim charge arrow at target, and have it completely miss the target because I charged for .0005 seconds too long (or the target moved)... I mean, I could use any other weapon and just hit the cast button and not miss. Also, just using regular cast partially corrects itself to hit a target. Beowulf cast projectiles will only follow the exact direction you charged, and travel a distance determined by the exact charge length.

Best advice (my personal opinion): Just use another weapon all together until they actually fix the shield.
