Charon
I get to Persephone almost 90% of the time at this point unless I get extremely unlucky with my build - the game is generally not hard at all. But for some reason Charon (the boss fight) is on a whole other level. I've tried twice and gotten absolutely destroyed both times, the last time I got him to about 30%.. I don't understand how the rest of the game is so easy, even Hades, yet Charon feels like playing the game on ultra-super hardcore mode. Anyone feel the same way or what? lmao..

Once you complete the mirror and have "gotten good", beating Redacted becomes fairly routine, but EM4 Redacted is no joke.

As for Charon, Athena's deflect boons on dash and maybe attack if you have a long-range weapon are extremely useful. Also the Hermes boons for extra dashes and maybe move speed.
Note that Charon has a really wide attack range, and there will be incoming waves of purple-black clouds coming from all directions that you really want to dodge. I find that hiding behind the bottom column and timing my dashes to not get mauled by the clouds as they pass works pretty well.

As to the weapons, Exagryph's grenade is probably the easiest tool, and the spear's alt attack or the shield charge or throw are OK; good area casts (Dio's poison, Poseidon's flood, or Demeter's beams) are workable as well. Sword and the Fists of Malphon are just too short a range...

Artemis/Aphrodite calls are most useful, the others not so much.

Firstly, Charon doesn't scale per floor. If you fight him, don't fight him in first floor unless your build is godlike already (which, it doubtfully is, since the fight has to be in like 4th room you enter).

Secondly, the oars do ridiculous damage so for the love of all that is holy don't get swatted by them.
