Mikhail Vrubel is inspired by Greek myth, maybe
Hades art looks nothing like Mikhail Vrubel though. Imo.
It is like saying Hades is inspired by 1998 TV series Hercules: The Legendary Journeys
What? Greek myths are thousands of years old, and there are plenty of sculptures/paintings/etc. from that period, let alone others ones in the time between then and now. What on earth are you talking about?
You're pretty correct, actually.

Chances are the art department has someone in it who studied Art formally (and history of art) and have taken inspiration from prior artists.
I could only call dat one style totaly greek and totaly solid. But it's too much basic imo.
