Why Orpheus is a woman in this game?
Good day.

Why? And does it mean, that Orpheus and her muse are lesbians in this game?

Thank you

Nah, he just has extravagant taste. Euridice remarks that he used to keep his hair in curls when he was alive. He likes to try out different styles.

OP prefers more masculine singers like Ricky Martin, Freddie Mercury and George Michael

Orpheus is doing alright for himself. Ladies do love a famous singer-songwriter. The dude has a hot nymph wife/muse who has her own studio kitchenette apartment in Asphodel with a large bed AND a stage.

Hes a Bard and they come in two flavours, either horny bastards who try and sleep with everyone or fembois. Orpheus clearly falls into the same category as Venti and the parties emotional support Tiefling from my last DnD campagne.

OP is clearly trolling, but I'm a bit sad that they haven't got any steam points for it.
He's a massive pu**y though, Eurydice could do better.

The character design is clearly a reference to Robert Smith from The Cure.

He's just an androgynous man. Those exist in real life too! Crazy to think that things like long hair and nails really mean anything, especially in the underworld.

Orpheus looks like he's heavily inspired by Robert Smith from The Cure.

Yeah, plus other musicians and creatives.

Feels like they balled up Bowie, Bolan, Daniel Ash, Steve Strange, Robert Smith, Blixa Bargeld, also Sandman *and* Neil Gaiman himself (I hear elements of Gaiman's speaking voice in Orpheus's delivery) to make Orpheus. Probably not thinking *that* hard about it, i.e. not literally combining them all, but just thinking about that kind of 70s/80s androgyny in general and forging a new rock star for an ancient era.

Bravo!, Encore! To state the obvious, Orpheus feels a bit emotional compared to Eurydice who is warmer or fiery!

The wiki refers to HIM as HE.

Anyway, the artist Jen Zee did really good with that game! All characters are offering some neat features. Except for Persephone who looks like a bit underwhelming!

Orpheus is not a woman.

The genre in the real life Orpheus is unknown, is for that have that androginus.

We dont known if her was a he or a she, so for that is that aspect.

In some myths Orpheus is femenine so......the solution is obvius.

Dont make her female or male, just make someone intermedium.

Okay... So there is an answer here, and it has to do with the history of Orpheus in theatre. Orpheus, especially in the Play, Orpheus and Eurydice, is typically played by a woman. Though originally played by a male Castrato, in the 19th Century it was a role passed on to Contralto Female. The role was just written too high for males to typically sing. So even today, the role is played in theatre as what's called a Trousered woman.
