Chiron is great for status effect builds.
Hera is a great burst aspect. Considering most problems can be solved by bursting stuff down... It's good.
As for status effect builds on Chiron. When at low rank yah, poison is good. However when you got it ranked up going for direct damage starts to out pace.
The spells fire off in a quick succession at the point the arrow hits. Not all instantly. This actually makes some cast types extra effective. Like a Poseidon cast can get a wall slam for every bloodstone shot. It also works great with the Dionysus cast. No more long lob time. It triggers at point of impact.
Festive Fog has a long cast time if used normally, but becomes absolutely instant when attached to an arrow, dealing insane damage on impact if you put some boon upgrades into it.
Saves time, that's why it's bad.
Chiron aspect is ok. Not really good though.
I don't want to be rude, but you clearly didn't play much with Hera's aspect. It changes the gameplay signiciantly because:
A lot of Cast upgrades add an Area of Effect damage to your cast. This damage is normally centered around Zegreus.
HOWEVER.
With Hera's aspect, the actual cast takes place when the arrow hits the enemy. So all the AoE damage is center around the HIT LOCATION. Which means that most cast upgrades add a lot of damage to your arrows, and makes for some insane burst damage.
