Questions about Thanatos

First of all, I just want to say that I've been loving this game so far! I just have a few questions about Thanatos (I've completed his hearts and had the 'Bond Forged' and bedroom cutscenes).

- Is there a specific condition for Thanatos's appearance during a run? (e.g. avoiding damage, killing enemies in previous chambers quickly, being on critical health)

- I've been turning up the 'heat' each run - I'm currently on 11 heat and he appears maybe once every 3 or 4 runs. If I was to turn the heat level back down, or off, would Thanatos appear less frequently?

- On my most recent runs, after I encounter him in the field, and then talk to him after returning to the House, he only says 'Sorry, I can't talk now. I have to get back to work'. Will this continue because further content has to be added, or do I just need to keep encountering him to unlock more dialogue?

It has a random chance of happening that should be roughly once every other escape attempt, though there is no guarantee of this. Note we are looking into making his appearances somewhat more reliable so that players can't get super unlucky and never run into him time after time.

Your Heat should not affect whether he appears or not.

It sounds like you have maxed out your relationship with him. There should be quite a bit of content with him overall, including some contextual lines based on certain events you may or may not have had occur. So it's hard for me to know. But eventually our characters do end up with a number of shorter, repeatable lines to support indefinite play. We plan to add more content for Thanatos and all characters to varying degrees, though, but Thanatos has more than many of the other characters right now.

On another note, I'm a big fan of all of the Supergiant games, and I really feel like this one combines the best parts of all of the previous ones. Good luck with developing it all - I'm looking forward to exploring all of the content :)

I'm at in 25 attempts to escape and haven't seen him once

If you've never seen him, what matters is the number of times you've been in Elysium. He has about a 1 in 10 chance of showing up in one of the chambers there. Once you've encountered him the first time, he has a chance of appearing in the two previous regions.

It's OK, I really like this game and what you guys are doing (using Early Access they way it would ideally be used)
