Hades
Do I need to start from Tartarus every time?
So this is my first roguelite, so I am still not clear with all the rules, I know that ugprades stay. But I just killed first boss and I am wondering does every time I gotta do it from scratch?

Don't worry, once you get further in, you''ll be passing Tartarus in under 5 minutes XD

Once you get the hang of bosses and stuff, and average run is about 20-30 minutes from start to finish. If you're struggling it may take a bit longer, yeah, but you die, come back, add some darkness to your mirror to power up, maybe change weapon or something, and head back out. Each run is meant to be a gradual progression of you earning resources to power you and your weapons up. And keepsakes level up as you run rooms, all of that progress is permanent. It's just that your runs themselves are not.

keep at it. even if you're starting from the beginning, you, the player, are not. I'm not talking about character progression, I'm talking about you. You're learning how to beat the enemies and take less damage, and soon Tartarus will just be a short warmup.

Once you get the hang of it, a casual run lasts like 30minutes.
