question about the new aspects

How exactly do i unlock them? i've read something about unlocking all other aspects of the weapons and then talking to specific gods (ares for the bow etc) but this doesn't seem to work for me. do i have max the other aspects as well?

I don't know. But I will tell you that the only things I've upgraded is stygius, zag aspect to max, and 1 upgrade to chaos aspect shield.

And I was able to unlock guan yu spear, arthur sword, and beowulf shield.

I beat the game with guan yu (I think) before unlocking arthur.
I unlocked beowulf without bringing arthur to surface.

I was not using shield when I got the dialogue for beowulf.

So I'm thinking that's rng here, or maybe something else at play. I really want that new rail aspect, but zeus isn't letting me get to the next level of the conversation bond (the lock is still there).

Currently at heat 12-16, and I pretty much bounce between weapons based on the bonus.

Unlocking Guan Yu first is required for all 4th aspects, because this is where you get the lore around how these 4th aspects came to be. That aside, every aspect after Guan Yu has simple requirements: Each weapon needs a minimum of 5 Titan Blood invested into them (spread around however you choose, it doesn't matter). That's it.

Meeting this requirements you simply had to speak with the correct npc. Zeus for rail, Artemis for bow, Chaos for shield. Affinity and equipped items have zero bearing on this. If you're having trouble getting dialogue to come up, the game may have other narrative dialogue queued up first that you have to get through. You can only get one waking phrase per run, so you can't grab all of them in one go.

see, I keep seeing this, but I'm not entirely what this includes. Because for the shield of chaos, I have the following levels:

Zag: 1
Chaos: 2
Zeus: 1
Beowulf: 1

Clearly I was able to unlock beowulf. So perhaps the blood investment includes what I paid to unlock chaos and zeus to begin with? Does that add up to 5 including the extra boost to chaos?

Hmm wait, maybe this is why I can't unlock the gun aspect. I guess these aspects start at 0?

If Zagreus aspect has not been leveled, then I do not believe it counts, because you haven't invested any Titan Blood into it, it already starts at lv1. Unlock investment should count, yes. The data doesn't specify how it counts Titan Blood invested just on unlocks, only that the 4th aspects require a minimum of 5.

Thanks for clarifying. I threw, i put the basic rail aspect to lv3, and boom, zeus is now talking about the fourth aspect. Sweet! not op but thanks again
