Gemstone/Darkness Farming Builds

I am currently in Endgame, i.e. beat the final boss, unlocking new weapons, last level of Mirror unlocked, keys are taking up space until I get enough diamonds, etc.

However, I have yet to craft an effective Darkness/Gemstone farming build. Does anyone have any suggested builds to achieve this?

Why would you need a build specifically for that? Just keep playing the game.

You can get the best darkness boost from Chaos (up to +300%-ish). Just take every gate you can and roll for boons that increase darkness gain. Ocean's Bounty boon from Poseidon can increase darkness gain up to +60%. Also one weapon always has +20% darkness gain with rotation. That's pretty much all increases you can get.

As for gems your best bet is to fish or to take troves with gems

Play on zero heat so that the 4 bosses drop darkness they are the best source of darkness with chaos boons. use chaos keep sake for first 3 regions, and in the final fourth region is the best area to level keepsakes because of how many small rooms there are, if you don't need to level keepsakes then just use your favourite/best option. And with chaos boons always take +darkness % when you can, keep running this until you get lucky, you get 5000+ darkness per good run which is worth 100 runs without the boons and boss drops. And fish is the best source of gems yeah, also poseidon, also purchasing infernal troves from well of charon.

Unfortunately small Styx rooms do not count towards leveling keepsakes nor provide stackable bonuses when you use butterfly or the plume.

I've just got my Dionysus keepsake levelled up in one of the middlechambers between the mainroom and the reward.
