Help trying to unlock last 2 hearts

Anyone know how I can unlock the last heart for both Zeus and Aphrodite? Been killing myself for a while and they don't give me new dialogues. Only idea I can come up with is to max out their keepsakes and keep farming, which is what I did with Artemis and it worked. Anyway, any help is appreciated.

I was confused with Artemis because her Callisto conversations were 1-2 lines of text. I was expecting more text so I was disregarding them as variations of the repeating non-lore dialogues.

I finally finished her.

I also just got the Cold Fusion dialogue so I'm very close to finishing Zeus too.

I think I'm missing a specific trigger with Zeus. No matter what I do, I just can't make him say anything relevant (30 runs? maybe more? lost count...)

I've triggered all his duos, his legendary and the shield but the conversation just doesn't progress. He has no lines left with Demeter either.

Any chance you remember what triggers the "Zeus & Hades sitting in a tree, chillaxing" conversation you mentioned here? ----v

The first chain of dialogue requires Zeus to be gifted at least three times, plus two other scenes you'll encounter through normal gameplay, like the initial flashback.

Zeus: Nephew, I have somewhat of a favor I must ask. You tell your father, if you so happen to run into him again, that his brother Zeus forgives him, and would like to reconnect, and welcome him into the family again. You tell him for me, hm?


Getting this dialogue will trigger an exchange between Hades and Zagreus

Zag: Father... look, Lord Uncle Zeus, I've been in contact with him, and he wishes to make peace. He asked for me to tell you. To tell you he forgives you for... whatever happened.
Hades: My brother Zeus... forgives me? Zeus forgives me?! How dare that blasted little brat! His beard may be luxurious but he's as much a child as are you. Forgives me, bah!
Zag: What did you do...? What happened between you?
Hades: None of your business! Go on now and frolic with that Lord Uncle of yours, the both of them! And don't you ever speak of him to me again, you hear me?


You'll need this duo dialogue with Demeter

Zeus: Now, now, young man, whatever you have heard about good Demeter, I'm here to clear the air. She's like a sister to me, yes, but only thus. Although her Titan parents and my own met the same fate.
Demeter: Why, Foster-Brother Zeus! Such an unlikely bit of candor there, from you! Almost as though you felt compelled to speak the truth only whilst I'm directly within earshot.


And this dialogue chain with Demeter

Demeter: There's so much nonsense that the mortals say to one another of our family, Zagreus. How viciously the rumors spread! Whether from that oaf Zeus or likely from the mortal drunkard-poets with no better use of their limited time!

The above in turn you'll get after a string of dialogue about the surface, about losing her daughter, and about Zeus.

Just keep accepting Demeter boons when you do new runs and hope you've gotten all the necessary lines so you can finish Zeus.

First of all, thanks a gazillion.

I think I've gotten all those lines, although, I'm slightly skeptical about the Titan-related duo one.

What makes me wonder about it is that Zeus speaks first, which means you already have all the relevant Demeter requirements before hand.

When I got my version of the duo conversation, I had firstly met Zeus, so Demeter was the one starting the duo conversation.

I wonder if this order-related snafu is the reason I was stuck. I'll test it tomorrow.

I've literally verified these within the game's own files, it's accurate. That's how I know which specific dialogue is required.

The complex nature of all the various Zeus and Demeter dialogue you need to max out Zeus's affection is why he's giving everyone so much grief, because it's not stuff you're gonna think to try.

You don't even have to go that far out of your way, lua files are very simple to open with even basic notepad. If you're looking for future content material, SGG is diligent about not leaving that sort of stuff easily accessible so anyone could just spoil whatever's coming. I checked because I was getting frustrated with what was needed to advance Zeus, which ended up being a long chain of events I had not even known to complete.

I do hope by full release they add more of a hint towards unlocking the heart for Zeus. Artemis and Aphrodite you can stumble over accidentally just by continually talking to them (and you would expect to get close to meg/than/dusa eventually just for their chthonic companions) but unless you keep notes of what the gods say about one another, the average player is not going to immediately pick up, oh I need to speak with Zeus AND Demeter to max out Zeus. Just a little nudge somewhere.

Or else we'll just have to keep notes on the required dialogue and link it when someone asks ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

It turns out I was indeed stuck at the duo part (I one-shot it using your instructions). It's rather silly that you won't get the correct duo trigger from Demeter's side but you can get can get the correct duo trigger from Zeus' side.

Steps 1, 2 and 3 are the same. If at step 4 you go Demeter for the trigger, you get screwed. If you go Zeus, you trigger successfully... >_>

Dear SSG, shouldn't both triggers do the job equally? You get the exact same result in the end (Cold Fusion).

In the end, I didn't even had to do anything more after the correct version of the duo part. I had already finished the Demeter solo chain a long time ago.

It's likely because of what the conversations are about. The Demeter triggered duo is the both of them being petty towards one another, the Zeus triggered one is more him trying to suck up to her lmao. The one for him sucking up is the one that's required and ties in all of the other required dialogue together. It's not about the duo boon itself, it's about which portion of the narrative you get.

I get that, but thinking about the fact that most Duo convs only trigger once, or one-way, your mind just simply doesn't make that computation.

is there an extra requirement for aphrodite other than having those 3 characters reputation maxxed? ive got all 3 maxxed but still just getting nons top generic non new dialogue for her.

You don't need Zeus & Art maxed for Aphro to unlock. Of those 3, I finished Aphro first, immediately after her last heart was added to the game, which means all the prerequisites were already in the game.

I don't know the specifics, but if it is not just talking to her, then it might be one of the following:

a) use her max charge Aid in Hades' battle
b) get her legendary boon
c) get her duo boons (with Aphro being the one to trigger them)

Those things typically unlock further unique conversations.

As far as Aphro is concerned, I didn't encounter any problems at all. The moment her extra progress was enabled, I got every single heart immediately.

I tried suiciding for an hour with her keepsake, and she started repeating dialogues, my only guesses are that I need to max out her keepsake or I need to talk to her a certain number of times.

Aphrodite's keepsake is on 1 star for me and I have her affection maxed. I initially stated it is RNG but based on previous posts, it is simpler than I expected.

Not sure which 3 characters you mean. You need to have gotten close to Dusa, and also Megaera OR Thanatos. If you do all three that's fine but Dusa and at least one of the two romanceable options are required. Finishing out Aphrodite involves more or less showing her that you yourself are loving and in turn loved back. Beyond that is rng, like anything else.


Keepsakes literally do not affect god affection level to any degree, the only effect to equipping them is what it says on the box; they will be the next god to show up and their boon rarity % increases.
