Starting off, you can play the game in its normal mode or what we call Hell Mode, which autoconfigures some of the difficult options for you and locks them in -- sort of like a hardcore mode except dying is part of the game in Hades, instead of the end.
We also have a feature called God Mode, intended for players who just want to focus on the story or are struggling to progress. We want any player invested in the story to be able to see it through.
On the high end, we have a system called the Pact of Punishment, which is a somewhat comparable to the Shrine system in Bastion or the Limiters in Transistor, where you can elect to raise the difficulty in a variety of specific ways. This is for experienced players and is the basis for a lot of the game's endgame content.
If you try these features out we'd love to hear your feedback.
