Fated Persuasion Rolls
When I first saw Fated Persuasion, I was extremely pleased to use it as an alternative to Fated Authority. Fated Authority is very powerful, but I tend to blow through all of it in Tartarus in any case, and basically made it so I could outright ignore random aspects of pathing/branching RNG, when I actually kind of liked having to deal with occasional subpar pathing.

On paper, Fated Persuasion is just the sort of thing that seems like it could help you zero-in on run-specific or deity-specific builds.

The problem with it, is it usually does not work.

It has been the case for me personally, time and time again, whenever I reroll boon choices with fated Persuasion, I receive an *identical* set of the exact same choice of boons to pick from, occasionally even in the exact same order - and that is if I do not get the same set of boons, but of a LOWER rarity.

I have not tested it as extensively with Wells of Charon yet, but the few times I've used Fated Persuasion there I have gotten similar results.

I have gotten it to work occasionally - but the vast majority of the cases, I usually reroll into the exact same set of boons I was trying to avoid having to pick between.

Has anybody else been experiencing this?

It makes a bit of sense because boons tend to unlock in tiers, so the actual pool for choosing what you will get displayed is smaller than you would usually think.

For example, you aren't going to get neither Ares' area expanding or increasing damage for spinning blades... if you haven't taken the dash or the cast.

Still, it is worth making a suggestion to the Devs that at least one change is made to the selection - especially if you go with the Pact that reduces your choices.

After all, if you use Fated Authority, the random selection is also rigged to avoid coincidentally getting the same reward as before. An analogous mechanism would be both easy to implement and fair as well.

Perhaps you should head over to the Suggestions subforum - it is easier for the topic to catch the attention of the Devs there.
