Can't summon companion
I just unlocked Meg's companion. Immediately leveled it up to 3 and then saved it until the Hades fight. But the game said "can't summon"...are there certain conditions to summoning?

As far as I know, two of the companions (the ones from Megaera and Thanatos) cannot be used against Hades because they work for him and therefore don't want to fight directly against him. The ones from Skelly and Sisyphus , however, can be summoned. :)

Cel is correct. As an aside, there's no point saving all three charges for Hades. You can only use a companion once per encounter no matter how levelled it is.
