If people want to use god mode, let them. Supergiant has literally gone on record saying it's there for anyone who wants to experience the story. Whether someone wants to learn or is unable to for whatever reason isn't anyone else's business.
I find this feature convenient because I'm terrible in this genre! I wish Dark Souls had something like this since I couldn't complete all three games. I'm just grateful Supergiant also thought of the little guys who aren't pro because I would've likely passed this beautiful game off.
