Black screen on start up
I was playing on a lower resolution while in window mode, changed out of window mode without changing the resolution back, game crashed, I reset and now when I start up the game it has a black screen. I can still hear the menu and I can interact with it but I can't see what I'm doing. Anyone have an idea on how I can fix this?

mine show the loading bar and theres music and menu sounds in the background. it was working the first time I ran the game.

Here's how I fixed my issue, I went to the Steam\steamapps\common\Hades\x64 and run the .exe and it works now but its kinda annoying since its not steam integrated. but it least it works.

hopefully theres someone else who knows how to fix it.

Hi there! Steam overlay is known to cause some display issues - turning it off on Hades may fix the issue.

You should also make sure that your graphics card drivers are up to date, and that the game is running on the correct graphics card, if your machine has more than one.

So I figure out how to fix the issue through a Reddit post.
If anyone else is suffering this issue all you have to do is go into the games Properties then set launch options as /FullScreen=false /NoBorder=true /X=1920 /Y=1080.
Once the game boots up and you have the menus options you can then go and make it full screen.
The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic.
