Hades

I-Frames on dash feel shorter now.
I don't remember being hit so much at the end of my dash during Hades fight, yet now playing against him with a sword is a nightmare. Seems like dodging just on reaction isn't sufficient anymore.

I can agree to this. I am constantly getting hit during the Elysium bossfights. No matter when I dodge I am taking damage, most of the time when it doesn't even look like there's anything to damage me.

But Theseus's spear throw is one of the biggest offenders. The only way I can dodge that now is with reflection boons

I can absolutely attest to this. Middle Management Gorgon cost me two resurrects twice already. I mean, you have to be precise not to get hit by that wave. This applies to Minotaur as well, but to a lesser extent.

The dev said in another thread that they hadn't made any changes like this that weren't in the patch notes - "at least not intentionally". So maybe someone should report missing i-frames as a bug with F10 and see if it gets fixed, lol.

Personal opinion: Whether intentional or not, I think the reduction in i-frames is a good move as it encourages players to be a bit more intentional and strategic with their dashing. I haven't had any issues with Theseus post-patch, though my strategy involves less on dashing and more on hiding behind the barriers whenever I see and hear the reticle.

Kind of hard to hide when I'm constantly getting hit through said barriers by the minotaur,or various forms of AOE

Zag is much faster than Asterius (and Theseus's spear throw targeting) if you are regularly dashing. As long as Extreme Measures 3 is not active, you can cheese the fight relatively easily by running in circles around the outer edge of the stadium. Theseus's throw range is around half of the stadium diameter.

Theseus's spear throw is heavily telegraphed with a visual and audio indicator. If you keep getting hit by it, you should work on identifying the timings. Try not to dash until the recticle has almost stopped moving, just before the targeting audio cue stops.

I don't feel they change the i-frame from dash, mostly is the broken spearpoint been nerfed, you can't dps race Hades anymore, unless you got really lucky good build in the run. It's pain fighting Hades with low~midium firepower build now.

I did not have a problem with it beforehand. I understand how telegraphing works. I had cleared this fight several times without problem. After this update I have been taking damage through dashes when I know,by muscle memory, that I had timed them right.

I don't know if you're trying to be helpful or just condescending, but no one here said about having trouble with the fights prior, that it's just -now-,something feels off

Didn't mean to be rude, it sure seemed like you were having trouble with the fight.

I beat Hades twice last night - the changes to his attack patterns take some getting used to, but I don't feel like the dash itself is shorter or altered in any way.

Felt dash got somewhat slopy too even with few fleeting moments of standing before actually dashing. If its not figment of imagination and unintentionall hope devs 'll look into it. Less snappy dodge makes pace alot slower.

I have absolutely been hit by stuff I had "figured out" previously. I rarely used the broken spearpoint so I can't lay blame there, it really truly feels like the i-frames on the dash are fewer, or something with the dash is off. Could be the actual attacks were all tweaked but many of them weren't in the patch notes. I even got hit more by dumb stuff like Wretches in Tartarus.

I've tried to adapt but since the actual attack patterns don't look like they've changed it's somewhat hard to figure out what to do about just getting hit when I wasn't before.

I think you may be right. Definitely something feels different about the dash after the update even if nothing was changed intentionally. I was feeling like maybe I was getting some kind of input lag, but reduced I-frames could also account for the struggles I've been having since the update.

Also noticed, getting hit at the end of dash constantly now, was a huge hidden nerf to many playstyles.

Aye, I'm at 50 hours played and suddenly I'm dying like mad after the update, even with Chaos shield. I get that balance changes are expected, but after 50 hours, dash timing is in my muscle memory and not easily changed. Feels like I cant play my high heat weapons now :(

I *think* it is that something is off about dash attacks. I dashed through exploding little chariots, no damage. I dash attacked through them (not at them), damage. I dashed through a energy arrow trap thing in Elysium, no damage. I dash attacked through them (not at them), damage. It is making my melee runs ♥♥♥♥ (when they previously were not) and I feel like I'm losing my mind.
