And there are dialogue boxes like in Pyre
I think they just took the source code of their three previous games, merged it (like in github), and now pretend it's a new game
AND they betrayed me by having half of the early access on EGS
Worst company ever
Betrayal would be more appropriate if let's say they announced it will be released on Steam on XX day of XXX month, then a few weeks/days before release, they pulled it out of Steam (I'm looking at you Metro and Shenmue!) That said, we have to also look at the fact that they took the EGS deal way before there was any negative press on Epic's shady dealings on good faith. In a way we are still getting Early Access, just the polished half. Betrayal they took the EGS deal? No, disappointing? Yep. (Though I did get over that disappointment when I saw the Steam page go up. :P)
If you see some stylistic similarities, it may be because most of the 12 people who worked on Transistor are working together again on Hades. That said, a priority we have with each game we make is to make sure each one has its own distinctive style and atmosphere. If you decide to play Hades, I think you'll find it has a distinctly different look and vibe from Transistor or any of our previous games, in spite of superficial similarities because of the genre and isometric perspective and so on. I remember when we were working on Transistor, we were quite worried players would think it looked too similar to Bastion, but we ended up not getting that feedback to any significant degree.
