The House of Hades is your main hub in the game. Given the rogue-like structure, it's where you always start from. You get to configure your character in different ways and develop your relationships with other characters while there.
The stuff you get from the Contractor is mostly just for fun / for show, things such as gem-encrusted pillars and fountains and fancier decorations for the lounge. Some of them have some utility, most notably the Music Stand, which functions as a music player in the game. Characters will respond to the some of the changes you make and stuff like that. We wanted players to be able to accessorize the place. I'm hopeful that we'll get to a point where different players can have quite different-looking Houses.
