Roman 4 is IV, not IIII

IIII is used on (some) clock faces. Both for aesthetic since the width of IIII matches VIII better than IV does, and IV was used to represent Jupiter, so 1, 2, 3, Literal god, 5 wasn't ideal. Since Chronos is Time and IIII is associated with clocks it wouldn't be misplaced. But since its actual purpose in-game is to count down the number of chambers left, IV would probably fit better.

I think IIII was made to clearly show that this is the fourth room. When using IV (4) in isometry, it can easily be confused with VI (6). For example, the entrance to room 4 is at the bottom of the screen and we, from the player’s side, see IV - 4, BUT for Melinoe, who is facing us and looking at this entrance, this room will be marked as VI. "D" - details. This is what Supergiants are good at.
