Hades II
(50hr+) Suggestions, Ideas, Bugs, and Interface issues
My partner and I are huge fans Hades (100% Completed except for a max heat run), and love the sequel. 10/10 easy, seriously, so much fun!! After 50+ hours of playing, here are our accumulated suggestions so far!

General Suggestions:
-Cat Familiar: can the attack be a backstab, where the cat teleports to the foe to prevent the cat from getting caught against terrain or missing foes?
-Hephaestus' Trusty Shield: Visual armor line/cut off when stacked with other armor? This has a current, interesting, but non-obvious interaction with Trinket V (silky suit). The Trusty shield will absorb damage first, before eating into to armor gained from the Trinket. Super useful, but was not clear that it interacted this way until trial and error.
-Chaos trials: perhaps they can send you back to the training ground room, instead of back to the start of the crossroads? It disrupts the flow a bit trying to binge run them (I don't experience the same issue of longer runs to Chronos/Olympus).
-Chaos trials: maybe more varied rewards for these trials - Ambrosia? Bronze? Upgrade to a Keepsake? Things that could affect the Crossroads? Ingredients that help level weapons?

Enemies/Chronos/Level Interactions:
-More enemy variety and mini-boss variety would be awesome! The challenge of how to navigate and space new foes and combinations of foes is really fun! This might also help other boons be more useful that are currently not as powerful compared to others (e.g., Poseidon vs Apollo omega cast).
-Love the editions of the new events. Wonder if Chronos' interfering can have more variety or potentially be challenged by a god directly as part of it? The "follow the ring" one is interesting, but not that exciting on multiple runs of it. Maybe he can transport us to a former boss fight from original hades like "The Minotaur" or something?
-Tartarus is challenging, which is good, but maybe Chronos should have more influence and active, interactive impact? Misdirecting routes? Locking door when trying to escape? Mimic Boons/Troves that are traps?

Balancing Combat/Boons/Keepsakes:
-We're sure balance is an on-going discussion here already. We found 10 Grasp we were able to get to phase 2 on Chronos but couldn't kill. With 29 grasp and level 1 talents the runs are significantly easier (killing chronos/eris without losing a life). I know the pact is a way to add more of a challenge, but the power spike seemed perhaps too large and doesn't make Chronos seem that intimidating,
-The Boons probably still need some refinement. I highly prefer certain boons from certain gods, using Lim and Oros Rank V, while others feel super useless. For instance, Hephaestus is incredibly strong from a single boon (attack, special) and 1 additional boon (vent). Apollo's special feels super useless on this weapon, and his attack is okay, but until I get 2 additional boons (daze + backstab), he feels much less valuable. I know the boons need to be interesting to provide good builds for all weapons, but it felt like, early on, bad boons make a run significantly harder/boss fights take forever vs a good boon set up where you just completely melt bosses. Totally in favor in a contracting the boon power distribution to be not so overpowered or underpowered.
-Hera Omega Cast - this really feels like a debuff most of the time. I think it should have some base damage so its not only a root at the start of combat. I see the potential synergy with Blitz/Hera Omega Cast idea, which I like, but the cast feels so bad without this combination.
-For Keepsakes, very few seem overpowered, and the rest not that powerful. Switching and strategizing per location is a fun and rewarded aspect of the game, so having many of them closer in power might improve the desire to switch. Right now C, V, and W we use 99% of the time. The gods ones don't feel very useful early or late grasp currently (maybe other than Hephaestus?)

NPCs/Gods/Titans:
-Dante's Inferno fans, thought it'd be awesome to have the trees talk (Fields of mourning more ominous this way. Maybe a tree NPC?)
-Would love to see more NPCs showing up in the crossroads from time to time (like Eris does). Artemis? Heracles?
-Maybe an NPC that loves Scylla and the Sirens? Could make for some fun interactions.
-Potential to unlock more gods? Athena, Ares, Dionysus?

Cosmetics/Environment:
-One thing I wished updated in the original Hades was the landscape you fought Hades in after the Epilogue. It was Demeter that caused the winter storm, so I thought once things had been put to peace, it would've been a nice cosmetic change to spring with special dialogue and interactions generated from that?
-More on cosmetic or environment changes: really hoping something like gemstones and cosmetic changes are brought back for the Crossroads! It would be really cool if there were progress-based changes to areas of the Surface and Underworld too, expanded beyond the relationships. The incantations provide some of this already, but we're thinking even like weather/terrain/maybe decorate the rooms between Locations?
-Cosmetic change to outfits/character customization? Similar to loadout?
-Customizable Familiars? Fur color? Outfit?
-More animation/reaction in dialogue based on conversation tone!

End Game Content
-Would LOVE if this game had an Elden Ring type feeling when you open the map and see just how much more content/area to explore (then there's sky/underground too?!). The Hades II equivalent would be the Surface currently, but what if there were 1 or 2 more surprises waiting? For instance, Slay the Spire had a Final 4th stage that unlocks later in the game, and if Hades II had an additional Location after some trigger (e.g., the 1st Hades you had to kill Hades 10 times, then on extreme measures), More possibilities:
-Maybe a secret 5th Final Boss.
-Maybe several Location stages through the realm of Chaos to find the 3 Fates?
-Rescue imprisoned Gods/family?
-Unlock the ability to play Zagreus or have him in certain room events?
-The Crossroads gets invaded by Chronos? Makes it temporarily unavailable home
base? In a similar vein, Melinoe's invulnerability is threatened, or NPCs are
taken/threatened/banished elsewhere and must be recovered?

Gameplay issues:
-Major Bug: On Chronos fight, we were unable to move (only dash). Might have been do to using the 90 mana transform Hex for some reason (eventually unlocked the movement, but ruined the run and we could not pause to attempt to fix).
-UX learning issue: It took us until ~40 hours in to finally look up how we level Grasp. We never realized you could move over to the portrait. There may be explicit instructions the first time, but we totally missed it. Maybe there can be a clearer indicator or reminder? This issue could be due to the next issue:
-Interface issue: Playing on 32:9 (5140x1440, 3070 RTX) ultrawide with a turtleneck xbox controller, I cannot pass the midline of the screen from left to center with the joystick (affects my ability to select plant seeds/selune blessings talents, etc.) Might be a user-end issue but I don't know how to fix it. This prevented me from scrolling over to my portrait to discover I can level grasp this way (I can use the computer mouse to compensate for this).
-Interface issue: Selune's boon has a tooltip pop up on my screen that prevents me from reading the talents in the tree. I can get around this by using the mouse to wave away the tooltip and read quickly, but the tooltip keeps coming back.
-Interface Issue: The Fountain when drinking, doesn't empty would be nicer if they were more distinctive in art style when full vs empty.
-Someone mentioned this, a streaming friendly UI for Ultra-wide monitors, which we second. Additionally, one that is mobile clip/streaming friendly (1080x1920), or a more customizable UI in general.
