Hades II

Bridal Glow [Hera] and Rare Crop [Demeter]
After partaking in a run that has both Hera and Demeter in the god pool, I kinda find it weird that you can get both Bridal Glow and Rare Crop in the same run, even though one does the complete opposite of the other. I understand Hera's Uncommon Grace boon (when no other boons are Common, deal more damage) exists, which I suppose is nerfed by the presence of Bridal Glow. I guess the idea behind being able to get both boons in a run is, Mel takes (for example) Rare Crop, she takes more boons from Demeter, Hera, insert two more gods plus a probable Hermes, then she takes Bridal Glow for whatever reason besides the Fated List of Minor Prophecies to potentially minimize overlap between the boons affected by Rare Crop and the boons affected by Bridal Glow

Perhaps it can be made that taking Rare Crop from Demeter would remove Bridal Glow from Hera's pool of offers, or vice versa. I fail to see why a player would want to have two boons that effectively cancel each other out, and even if they wanted to get Bridal Glow for the Fated List or whatever reason outside of that (be it a reason currently in the game that I'm not aware of or a reason that has yet to appear in the game), surely there would be more common sense to take it by itself rather than having Rare Crop to go along with it

They do not cancel each other out.
Actually, they even have some synergy.
You take Rare Crop near the beginning of the run. It gets your boons to Heroic by the end of the next act at most.
Then you can take Bridal Glow in the last act, preferably from the final Charon shop. If you do it right you get 2 extra Heroic or at least Epic Boons in the final fight.
That's at least 3 more Heroic Boons by the end.
If the run was infinite they would cancel each other out. As it is, you can combine them to get the best of both.

yeah, it's weird that people comment that it's useless. in the beginning of the run, it's an obvious negative, at the end it's an obvious positive. Rare Crop is amazing in the beginning, but it is useless at the end
