[Mac] Bug: Game gets stuck after being open to long.

Hi, this is my first bug report for a game in early access. However I am a developer myself, so I'm quite familiar with procedures.

I am playing the game on my Macbook Pro, and I've encountered a bug that hardlocks the game, and more importantly, prevents it from restarting properly when using steam.

What happens:
Sometimes when I play the game, I switch screens, do something different, close my macbook so it goes to hibernation, then open it a few hours later, and sometimes I continue playing, and sometimes I don't.
During this time, I usually leave the game open so I can switch to it when I want to. However, after around 3 days of doing this, when I go towards the game screen, the "spinning rainbow wheel cursor" appears on screen, and the game just basicly stops functioning. (It does not crash on it's own.)

When I force quit the game, It keeps running in steam. When I close steam, it tries to gracefully shut down the game (while it is already closed), and sometimes it works after a couple of minutes, sometimes it doesn't and I have to force quit steam as well.

Regardless of the above, when I restart steam and try to start the game, the game icon appears down below, jumps up and down, but it never actually starts again. The only workaround for this is to reboot my entire mac.

Obviously the other work around is to just close the game when not playing, however I still feel it's a bug within the game that could be addressed. Especially since currently a restart of the system is required (at least for me) to actually be able to play the game again.

Speculation:
To me personally it feels like some sort of memory (leak) issue is causing the game to get stuck after a period of time (possibly while not being the "main focus"). And it also feels like it is doing something to repair a certain state while booting up again after a force quit, causing it to just never start again.
