Travel Deal consumed by gathering resources

Travel Deal, the new Hermes Boon which causes the first purchase in a shop to be -20% off, and then have another item take its place, has its effects seemingly consumed if you gather a resource or calm a shade in the same room.

It's possible this is caused by Demeter's Plentiful Forage boon, as I noticed it when I entered Charon's shop at the end of the Underworld route, dug up some poppy seeds, and then also calmed a shade. But I only noticed the discount at the shop was rescinded after the shade, and am not sure if it happened after the digging or after the shade. There was also not a replacement item after I bought something; both effects were consumed.
I mention Plentiful Forage since it gives healing when gathering seeds or plants, and maybe the game thinks you're receiving healing from something you bought, rather than gathered.

I did'nt have the plentiful forage boon but faced same issue

I did notice it sometimes not working on Hermes Shrines randomly (especially those in between regions), even without having plentiful forage or collecting resources in the same room, but i'm not sure why. In Charons shop in the Overworld it always worked for me even after ressource collection but i didn't have the case with the combination with plentiful forage yet. Haven't tried any underworld runs since the update tho, so i have no idea how it behaves on Charon well or Underworld Charons' shops.
