Comparing my specs to the suggested specs on the steam page for Hades II.
For newbies like me, on Windows, going to (bottom left magnifying icon on taskbar) Search -> About your PC, my specs are:
Edition: Windows 10 Pro
System type: 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4790 CPU @ 3.60GHz 3.60 GHz
Installed RAM: 32.0 GB
To find available storage. Search -> Storage Settings
254 GB Free
To find my graphics, I went to, Search -> Intel Driver & Support Assistant (which opens in browser) -> Devices & Drivers
Graphics: Intel HD Graphics 4600
The Hades II tech support suggests to ensure my driver is up to date.
Under Intel Driver & Support Assistant, under Available Updates it says: No supported driver or software updates are available for your system.
I just installed the game & clicked play is what brought me to the error. The game didn’t launch I believe. Not sure if there’s anything to do on my end or just wait for an update from y’all?
I myself am stuck in the same boat, having only an old Radeon 7870 on hand with a DX feature level support of 11.1.

"The HD Graphics 4600 was an integrated graphics solution by Intel, launched on June 3rd, 2013. Built on the 22 nm process, and based on the Haswell GT2 graphics processor, the device supports DirectX 12. Even though it supports DirectX 12, the feature level is only 11_1, which can be problematic with newer DirectX 12 titles."
Further researching, it seems like it's on the hardware side and I have to get an updated graphics card. I think adding DirectX 12 as a requirement on the steam page would be helpful. Not sure if there's anything I can do at this point besides getting better hardware.

->
"The Feature Level is the GPU's actual and physical capabilities. what it can do. It's a hardware requirement, not a software requirement, so nothing that can just be updated. The only option is to get a newer and better GPU. The current requirement is feature level 12.0.
DirectX 12 "support" just means it supports the DirectX 12 APIs (Application Programming Interfaces). But it doesn't mean it can actually execute all the functions in the DX12 specification. So many older GPUs have DX12 "support", but only feature level 11."
In launch options type:
```
PROTON_ENABLE_NVAPI=1 VKD3D_CONFIG=dxr11 VKD3D_FEATURE_LEVEL=12_1 SteamDeck=1 %command%
```
Seems to be a error with DX12(my system supports DX12)

I have the same issue sadly
I think the issue was the fact that my gpu didn't support DX12 version_12, even though it was more powerful than the stated min gpu spec. So, it's more of an out-of-date thing than power, for those curious. I didn't try the DX11 trick above, nice to see it works for some!
Mine didn't support 12_11_2 either, but the above link still worked for me. Stable 60fps, no crashes. No idea why its locked behind dx12_11_2 , requirements require some tweaking.
I did try this but I got a different error when launching the game: "graphics hardware error -> a GPU crash was detected."
I'm using the Intel HD Graphics 4600 as my GPU. This suggestion I think works for NVIDIA cards based on the github: "First state that actually got Elden Ring ingame on Nvidia Kepler (sources+binaries). Highly experimental !" But cool the game is working for you :)
