Hades II

Hades II

Hi Im Joel May 6, 2024 @ 12:10pm
Error: Below min specs
Mi notebook does not meet minimum system requirements, so the game just shut down. I know my machine isn't the best, but I hoped the game would let me change some graphic aspects to play in lower quality.
I hope this could be patched soon, my heart is broken right now </3

Me too... It did this in the technical test too and many reported it and it still has not been fixed. I'm pretty bummed as well

Hi, the game's minimum specs can be found on the store page:
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1145350/Hades_II/
We can look into lowering these in the future but can't make any guarantees.

I came here to ask the same thing... no command to bypass the error and run it anyway?
Though i do understand the desire to lock out underspec'd computers to avert the otherwise inevitable complaints by folks expecting it to run well on their potatoes.
I'm at work on a 2015 MacBook running Crossover for Windows compatibility, so I was expecting 5 FPS. I just wanted a taste :zagpls:

I am getting same message which was surprising. Can the message be upgraded to see which specific requirement is not being met? I am guessing on mine it is Graphics card but i run below which should satisfy all the needs.

OS: Windows 10 Home - 64 bit
Processor" AMD Ryzen 7 2700X Eight-Core Processor, 3800 Mhz, 8 Core(s), 16 Logical
(RAM): 16.0 GB
Graphics: AMD Radeon R9
Storage: Over 500Gb of free space
Hi Im Joel May 6, 2024 @ 12:48pm
I tried everything the devs sugested in the Technical Support FAQ, and still not able to run the game. Gonna have to wait a few days to see if this can be patched. I just want to get into the main menu so I can make some graphic changes and decide by myself if I can play o not :'(
Wolfram359 May 6, 2024 @ 12:53pm
MacBook: Retina, 12-inch, Early 2015
Processor: 1.2 GHz Dual-Core Intel Core M
Graphics: Intel HD Graphics 5300, 1536 MB
Memory: 8 GB 1600 MHz DDR3
MacOS: 14.4.1 (23E224)
Opencore Legacy Patcher for Sonoma compatability.
Crossover for Windows emulation.

I mean, just for the sake of science, aren't you at Supergiant not just a liiiittle curious how it runs, and could pretty please offer a bypass to the requirement lockouts? :zagwow:

Please. It doesn't matter if we'll be running on extra low or something, just let us have a taste :(

There is a graphics quality option that you can set to low, not sure how much that changes. You can also try lowering resolution.
The minimum specs are something you could find in a computer thats on something like facebook marketplace for $2-300, and youll probably get better specs than the minimum.

i'm seeing this as well with a Nvidia M2000, which is a similar-ish vintage to the GTX950. Happy to live with a lower framerate or resolution or what have you.
i have a friend with the same issue, but he got the minimun requiriments, the game dosen´t open anyways, i think that message its causing problems

If you believe you system meets all the minimum requirements listed on the store page and are receiving the message in error, please follow the instructions at the bottom of our FAQ to email us your system specs and we can take a look. Thanks!

Is there a way to turn off the message so people can at least open the game to see if it can run?

honestly, like, PLZ, WE BEG OF YOU, LET US PLAY, we shouldnt be locked out of the game by default just because we are under spec, this feels so awful...and there are so many ways of improving fps on lower machines, just let us at least be able to access your product, no one wants to stay out of the fun, this is very frustrating

It's so odd to lock people out of the game like this. It's one thing if we open the game and no matter what we do it runs bad, but to not be unable to even launch the game. I have ran many games that my pc didn't even come close to meeting the minimum specs for; after some fine tuning with the settings. I hope they change this odd lock out. Give us a chance to at least try something.

One dev said that the problem with older graphics cards is that they don't support the newest directX features that the game uses, so that might be difficult to fix.
