Price of Midas?

I'm pretty far into the game and still haven't seen this one in the well of Charon. It's the only one I'm missing. Anyone know if there's a prerequisite for making it show up?

As far as I know, no prerequisite. And it doesn't say there is one in the codex either. You might be just unlucky (or it's more rare than the rest, since you pay with HP instead of gold).

Also I am pretty sure that I had that one in the Well once even when I didn't have enough HP to pay for it, so having enough HP doesn't seem to be a requirement.

Have you unlocked the Incantation that spawns Charon Wells in between biomes? That would give you a lot more chances to get it eventually.

I've only every seen it once, so I assume its extremely rare (no idea if Prerequisites.)

Yes, I've got that one. Afaik I've done every incantation except for the Chronos pause potion. I think I need to beat him a third time for that to show up? Idk

Yes, I've got that one. Afaik I've done every incantation except for the Chronos pause potion. I think I need to beat him a third time for that to show up? Idk

Someone suggested that you have to pause enough times?

I got it offered after I only beat him twice iirc.

I've beaten him like 10+ times and didn't have this incantation, and only after reading about it's existence here on the forum I got it after trying to pause few times. I didn't even know that you could get it lol.

But, that was before the patch and several hotfixes so who knows how many small things like this devs changed in the meantime to make the unlock conditions easier.

EDIT: To get back on the main topic, after paying some more attention during my runs it does seem that Midas Touch is more rare than other Charon offers. Maybe it really is super rare because it costs HP instead of gold and devs didn't want it to show too often since most of the time it's just a bad pick.

I guess it makes sense they'd offer the incantation if the player (like me) keeps stupidly trying to pause hahau
