Hades II

Hades II

is it harder than the first game or I just lost my abilities over time?
I remember it took me around 12 hours to beat the first game (and it took almost 35 hours to beat it for 10 times to get to the real ending)

but now I played hades II for over 20 hours and still not beaten it, I hope this game does,t require you to beat it 10 times like the last one (that was too much filler and I hope this one isn't like that)

anyway is Hades 2 harder than Hades 1 or am I just got too old?

We don't have Athena and extra dashes to cushion our fall.

It depends on how far you've gotten, I suppose. You need to adjust to the new abilities, boons, and enemy attack patterns.
I don't use casts nearly enough, and there are times I completely forget about using my Hex ability.

The final game likely will require multiple clears. Considering the conversations and gifts can only progress once per run, the game encourages you to keep playing. Even after seeing the credits in the first game, they added more challenges to it.

Depends on the point of view, I would say that in general it is not harder, just the weapons and boons are much weaker and less effective. The extra mechanics put a tactical perspective in the game and as such it lost the arcady felling which H1 had.

well I got to chronos a few times now. last time I beat the first phase of him.
it's hard to learn his moves during fight, because you have to play almost an hour run to get to him. I remember it took less time to get to Hades in the first game.

I think it is just some rust. I actually think this game is easier but more fun than the 1st game. If you get high sprint speed you can just run around all the bosses and take 0 damage and you get to use your Hex a lot more often once you unlock the hex recharge card.

It's different but I think it's comparable in difficulty.
I think when you're not set up right, it's a little bit harder.
But when you are set up right, you just tear through things.

There is also just simply more to do. Even incomplete, the surface is a whole other area you have to spend time in that doesn't have a H1 equivalent.

well I don't like it how some of the boons are really useless. and how some of them are truely powerful

Rust, unfamiliarity with new mechanics, and I think some bosses are a bit harder. I think it's pretty close in difficulty to the first.

I'm not really convinced about that. There's some boons that I thought were silly, and then it turned out I just didn't realize how to use them properly.

Well, you've done better than me anyways. I just got my first Siren kill, and managed to get past the next biome, only to die to that boss. It feels like the Hydra all over again.

It does require multiple completions I'm afraid, Chronos drops an item that you require multiples of for certain incantations.

As for difficulty, yeah I'd say overall its a little bit more difficult, and Chronos himself is certainly more difficult than Hades was, but I think a lot of that is due to him not having clean tells yet, I expect that to get better.

Comparatively this game is stingy with boons, which there are also more of so even when you get them you may not get a decent one. The meta progression takes more time to get through, considerably so, so you stay weaker as Melinoe for much longer than you did as Zagreus.

That being said, there are several OP or cheese builds that trivialize the game, so if you want to murder Chronos and get on with the content those are worth looking into.

I completely ignored Hera's cast, Engagement Ring, until I realized just how many small fry spawn in Oceanus. It pretty much wipes them out as soon as they come in.

the best clear I could do in hades 1 was on like escape attempt 9, the best I've done in hades 2 has been night 4, take that for what you will

I was personally thinking about a few hera boons myself. :praisesun:
