Hades II

Hades II

Are we supposed to lose the ability to direct the path of the crash down Hex?
Every time I use it, either after a short duration or after upgrading the hex path, I lose the ability to manually select the location I want to crash down. Instead, it automatically crashes down in random areas, sometimes missing the enemies entirely.

I'm certain this must be a bug, but the fact that it happens every single time I use this hex has me wondering...

I think it's a bug where you just can't see where you're aiming. I can't figure out how to replicate it cause it only happens like half the time. And it usually goes away after a while.

Hey, if this feels like it's working incorrectly to you, you can report it as a bug using F10. You should be able to target the blast location of Total Eclipse while pressing and holding the Hex command.

Alright, F10, I'll do that. It happens every time for me, I haven't yet seen it go away in the run once the glitch happens. What made me think it's not a glitch is that it does seem to auto aim on enemies, even without me using any movement of the directional joystick once I activate the hex, though it only hits maybe 75% of the time.

Yeah, I F10ed myself. But I could barely describe what was even happening lol.

Wolf howl has exactly the same problem. The targeting worked for about one encounter, then it stopped. Seems to be something about the target selection for hexes.

Maybe worth mentioning:
For both, Eclipse and Wolf Howl the problem starts after defeating the next boss after collecting the spell.
For example:
- found Eclipse in Ephyria -> targeting-cursor worked up to Polyhemus and was gone in the rift of thessalay
- found wolf howl in erebus -> stopped working in Okeanos

Does it somehow break when changing regions?

I found a workaround for this:

Go to Main Menu -> Settings -> Game Play and disable Aim Assist.

That was the perfect clue, because it DOES automatically aim on enemies since the latest patch, but without any way to manually aim.
Disabling Aim Assist enables manual aim again.

And I think I'll keep it disabled, because it feels like i have much more control over my aim now... using the daggers in my current run, will try the torrches without Aim Assist afterwards.

What i haven't tried yet is, if that problem happens with keyboard and mouse, as I usually play on my Steam Deck or with an XBox controller.
