Isn't she holding the Stygian Blade? As far as I remember it is just a reskin, so basically a different sword?

Nope, it's a different aspect of the same sword. The Stygian Blade belonged to Nemesis in that form at some point before Zag had it, and now it belongs to her again.

Nope, it's a different aspect of the same sword. The Stygian Blade belonged to Nemesis in that form at some point before Zag had it, and now it belongs to her again.

Actually they explained in 2 that the aspects are people that WILL or HAS wielded the weapon this can be the first time nemesis wields it as aspects can be both future and past versions off it

True, but the Nemesis Aspect of Stygius from the first game specifies that it was once her blade, making her a former wielder, rather than a future one (although, I suppose in this case, she's both). "One of Nyx's daughters once brandished the blade against the arrogant." is the Aspect's description in 1.

Technically, no. All of the Hidden Aspects from the first game with the exception of Lucifer (a former wielder), are pointedly future wielders' Aspects: Arthur, Guan Yu, Gilgamesh, Rama, and Beowulf.

But other than the hidden ones, the implication I think is that the non-hidden ones are all from former wielders, yeah. And they're all worded as such, from what I can see.

Sadly you won't. There is only one Stygian Blade in existence and Nemesis is the current wielder, with her aspect on.

Not to mention that Mel's arsenals, the Nocturnal Arms, are by definition sister weapons of the Infernal Arms, a completely different set of weaponry. So unless SuperGiant decides to make the full set of Infernal Arms available to Mel (which I don't see it happening), none of the weapon in Hades I would return as the last and anticipated 6th weapon Mel gets to use.

Gameplay-wise, the special doesn't make sense along with Melinoe's cast since they both lay down an aoe slow. And without that nuance Zagreus' sword would be pretty boring.

I think the blades are close enough to the sword, but I definitely would take the bow and gun over the flames and skull. The basic attacks on those just feel better and more appropriate for an action game.

Nope, Hades replaced Varatha for his spear Gigaros, just like Poseidon replaced Stygius for his trident. He feared the Infernal arms and hid them because they could be used against him at some point, which ended up happening.
