There's just so much on screen in the later phases of the fight that it's overwhelming and I hate that. So hoping that they adjust colours on the fight so it's easier to see everything, then I might like it more. It doesn't seem a bad fight, it's just...a lot.
I am also on steamdeck most of the time and while enjoyable it gets pretty miserable at 32 fear. Great for convenience, but not optimized for top levels of play I would say. My biggest note about the new boss was also visual clarity. The monochrome red is a bit of a mess and rolling any Ares boons exacerbates the visual issue. While I haven't lost to the boss yet I have lost sight of Mel completely during the fight and honestly in some other biomes as well like Thessaly on occasion. I get rare occasions to play on a larger laptop and the issue is much more manageable, so I hate to form a complete judgement on it simply based on the necessity of a much smaller screen which most likely is not the experience the majority of the player base has who probably play on an average of 20"~30" monitors (guessing). I know when the final game ships I will buy another copy for PS5 which will let me play on my 60" tv which will be an entirely different experience.
its definitely more of barely fun dps check
