Hades II

What was the point of removing Psyche from reward?
For some reason the new patch removed psyche as a reward entirely. I am not complaining, I am just not sure I understand why. If you start from a new save now, you have to struggle much more to increase grasp, no? Was that the objective? I am not playing on a new file, so I cannot really comment on whether I like that decision or not. I'd be interested to hear what players on a new file think.

What it does change for me though is how I can farm prestige. I suppose the best way is bones now? 30 bones for 5 psyche, changed in turn for 15 prestige (so, 1 prestige for 2 bones)? I guess if we think in terms of room rewards we are not too far from before:
- 10/20 psyche = 30/60 prestige
- 50/100 bones = 25/50 prestige

However, I would still bring Frinos in runs, as it still allows to get a little more psyche directly.

Not a big change in the end, I was just curious if anyone had a better idea or if I had missed anything.

It does pretty significantly change the room choices, and leads to more nectar as well as the obvious bones and ash. I got most of my psyche from Charon's chest, since you get 80 per purchase there. Kind of funny, since it used to be the choice I'd never get, and now it's the top choice for me.

That, and since the lost shades show up much more frequently if you don't take Frinos, means that it still came in at roughly the same speed as before for me, plus more nectar. The one thing I was a bit behind on compared to my runs last patch is star dust. That used to be what I'd get from Charon, but it wasn't that far behind my usual pace. The one thing that's pretty far behind is the plants, and I'm not a huge fan of that change, mainly because having 6 plots now is usually pointless (and generally a waste of resources).
