Hades II

Early access almost done?
Hey all.

This post isn't intended to bash the developers or whine about how long a game is taking. So, please don't take it that way. Deciding to have a lengthy early access works for some gamers and some developers well, and isn't really others' cup of tea.

For me personally, I don't like playing games that are in early access because I want to play a game when it is fully finished. Not playable. Not, something that I may like might change a week from now as it is tweaked. I like to play games when they are basically in their final form.

So, with that in mind, does anybody know how close we are to that with this game? I enjoyed the first title a lot and am looking forward to playing this one but...I just don't like essentially being what I would consider to be a "beta tester". (Again, no judgments. Some people like being part of the development and/or don't mind being a part of the iterative process.)

Late 2025 or early 2026.
It'll be done when it's done, we don't know for sure at this point
We know there will be at least one more Major Early Access Patch to add things like Hidden Aspects, that will likely come mid-Summer. After that, we may have the release patch in Autumn, but that could also be a Early Access Patch. If the next EA Patch is the last EA Patch, then the game will likely come out sometime in Autumn. If it's not, then sometime in Winter.

But long story short, it's all a matter of Time.

I have to say Autumn is incredible optimism.

+1
That's the most likely and realistic scenario.

Although we don't know if that discussion with Athena's voice actor will hinder the development in any way. It may be a factor, unfortunately.
Buuuh! Another fella pressuring the devs! Buuuh! Someone, throw them tomatoes! And water! And paint!
And Cats! With a trebuchet! Arbitro comprado, partido regalado! Real Madrid steal trophies!

...

Sorry, what were we talking about? Oh, yeah. @Fire Walk With Me gave what seems a reasonable expectation.

To be fair, I did say IF the next EA patch is the last EA patch. I don't think it will be, there's a lot to expand on, which is why the following is there. I do believe more it'll come out in Winter, so about what you said as well.

The next BIG patch is supposed to be the last one before the release and I see no reason to not believe SGG in that case.

But no one said that there won't be some smaller patches with, let's say, few new lines of dialogues, development of some stories left to be done, being able to gift further the gods and so on.

Lets not forget we literally got an update patch one week out from warsong. We had a solid four months between the Olympus update and Warsong, so it is probably fair to say any notably sized or themed patches would drop between June to August if I had to guess myself. We also might get 1~3 smaller balance patches between the big ones. I could see Ares getting tweaked in the not so distant future after community input has been assessed. Typhon balance is also likely in some flavor due to the voices in the room.

And they don't die after stinging you, unlike bees.

Bees are S tier critters imo.

A bumble bee? Cutest dang thing, won't hurt anybody if you leave 'em alone. Docile creatures, pollinators, good for the environment. Bugs with good vibes.

Wasps, on the other hand, appear to driven by hatred, evil, stinging, biting, and a desire to watch the world burn.

Wasps are a mistake. If there is a God, wasps are the proof that such a God is evil.
